The system has a length of 20,000 Kilometres and is owned and operated by CenturyLink (formerly Level 3 Communications). SAC has landing points in Colombia, Panama, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Venezuela, United States and Chile.

Pan-American Crossing (PAC) has landing points in Panama, United States, Mexico and Costa Rica.
